Happy Dress

This was my very first successful dress to make out of class while I was still a first year at Technical University of Kenya. I remember we were planning for our family vacation to Mombasa and I thought it would be nice to show off my sewing skills thus far. I was crazy about color which explains why I mixed a blue tie and dye with neon green chiffon at the bottom. I really loved how it fit, and how the colors looked together. The sweet heart neckline and the close fitting torso accentuated my bodice; the bottom part of it is fuller achieved by sewing knife pleats which highlighted my waistline. After showing off this dress, I sure made variations of the design to clients. I quickly learnt that you’re your first marketing tool.

I designed and made all the garments by myself with love. Additionally, they have been worn one or more times. Some of the outfits might have running threads or normal wear and tear but absolutely wearable.
